9,420 Applications for the Class of 2030
The admissions office closed the count for Fall 2026 undergraduate applicants on November 15, 2025. The office received 9,420 applications, up from 8,720 the year before, an increase of 8%. This release describes the pool. It is not an acceptance announcement. Decisions for regular applicants went out on March 31, 2026.
Who applied
- 6,140 applied from Oregon, Washington, and northern California.
- 2,410 applied from other U.S. states.
- 870 applied from outside the United States, from 46 countries. The same 46 appear in this year’s enrolled student body; that is a coincidence of rounding, not a cap.
- 2,730 applicants, 29% of the pool, reported that they would be the first in their family to finish a bachelor’s degree.
Sixty-one percent of this pool did not send an SAT or ACT score. The office will not publish an acceptance rate until decisions are released. Last year’s rate, for the class that entered in fall 2025, was 36%.
Reading the files
Regular-decision notifications for this pool are scheduled for March 31, 2026. A file from a prior year is not carried forward. Applicants who are not offered a place may apply again for a later term with a new essay and an updated transcript. The fee remains $50, with the waiver described on the admissions page.
