AES EXCELLENCE CLUB is an initiative of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES). It is our response to the quest to contribute to fast tracking national development.

As you may be aware, the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria chartering as the Chartered Institute of Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (CIEN), is an initiative of technocrats drawn from the organized private and public sectors of Nigeria in the spirit of the growing emphasis by all tiers of government on Private Public Partnership (PPP) in growing the Nigerian economy and fulfilling the Millennium Development Goal (MDG 1) of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger.

Within our 4 years of existence, we have impacted immensely the Nigerian society, both in the private and public sectors. For example, we have trained over a 1,500 Directors, Chairmen, and Senior Staff of various organizations to be patriotic, result-oriented, economically productive and positive change Agents. We have also trained hundreds of under-graduates in tertiary institutions like Auchi Polytechnic, University of Agric Makurdi, on leadership and entrepreneurship and subsequently inducted them into "AES ENTREPRENEUR'S CLUB" whilst giving the various clubs seed money to set up business enterprise, that they would manage.

AES has also in the last two years organized its Annual National Conference; a high profile gathering of intellectuals, leadership and entrepreneurship icons to brainstorm and proffer solutions, to the Nigerian project.

The academy also publishes and distributes widely, the AES Entrepreneurs Digest, a quarterly glossy magazine that inspires and promotes entrepreneurship and leadership development.
AES is made up of a 10- MAN Board.

The AES Excellence Club being an initiative of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES) has the following objectives:

• To create platforms for individuals and Corporate Organizations to contribute to National    development.
• To sensitize high net worth individuals and Corporate Organizations to their Corporate Social    Responsibilities.
• To create a platform of service where members can deploy their natural endowments,    experiences, passion, training and goodwill m service to humanity for personal fulfillment, and
• To create opportunities for networking for expansion of business and other frontiers.
To search out very credible organizations and individuals in the public and private sectors which/who have excelled in their fields of endeavour for conferment of "AES EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP AWARD"

To do any other thing that would fast track national development.

The membership of the club is open to all VERY CREDIBLE Nigerians and foreigners living in Nigeria as well as corporate bodies, who apply and are verified.

INAUGURATION

The inauguration of the "AES EXCELLENCE CLUB" came up on Thursday 16th September, 2010 at GOLDEN GATE PARADISE, KINGSWAY ROAD, IKOYI, LAGOS.
The Dinner was chaired by Apostle Dr H.LALILE, former DG, Nigerian Stock Exchange, while Chief Ernest Shonekan, GCFR (Former Head of State of Nigeria) was the special Guest of Honour. The event featured a lecture titled: "Nigeria at 50: The Challenges of Leadership and Social Responsibilities" that was delivered by His Excellency (Dr.) Christopher Kolade - (Former
Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK and Pro Chancellor, Lagos Business School.

Other guests at the event were the Executive Governors of Niger, and Akwa-Ibom states as well as some serving Ministers and Top Nigeria Corporate Organizations. Others are Captains of industry, International Development Organizations (World Bank, DFID, USAID, etc) and members of the Diplomatic Corps as well as the Academia and media chieftains.
