  DR. AUSBETH NNAMDI AJAGU, MFR, F.AES, F.IoD

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, a Political Economist, trained in Political Science, Legal Studies and Business Administration, is the Group Executive Chairman of Betcy Group of Companies with interests in Construction, Manufacturing (Assemblers of farm Power Tractors); and Real Estate. He is equally the Executive Chairman, Oak Hotels, Lagos, Oxford Hotels, Abuja and Goldfish Insurance Brokers Limited.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR who is an industrialist, entrepreneur, author, public policy analyst and revered motivational/conference speaker, has to his credit over 300 published articles and library works which include the best-selling books titled “The Entrepreneur”, “Roadmap to True Greatness”, “Building A Virile Nation… The Private Sector Perspective” and “The Secrets of Winners”. He is a Fellow and the President, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES).

Dr. Ajagu is a National Council Member and past ALT. Chairman, SMI Committee of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Industrial Group as well as 2-Star Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Dr. Ajagu was President, Rotary Club of Amuwo (1997–98); The Chairman, Anambra State Oil Palm Development Agency Board (2000-2002); Member, Presidential Technical Committee on Road Maintenance (2002-2003), amongst several others. Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu just finished serving in the Boards of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) and National Inland Waterways. He is also a Director Standard Alliance Capital Ltd.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR is The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Youth & Gender Network, a renowned and famous NGO. He is a member of the National Technical Working Groups of The Vision 20:2020, The Presidential Job Creation Committee, as well as a member of Nigerian Economic Summit Group. He is also a board member of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM)

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu is a fellow of The Institute of Directors’ (IoD) Nigeria, Fellow; Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria; Fellow; Institute of Cost Management, Nigeria; Fellow, The Chartered Institute of Finance Consultants. He was also Chairman of Institute of Directors Industry Committee (2003 – 2007); and fellow; Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES).

Dr. Ajagu has over 55 local and International awards which include the award for “The Overall Best Graduating Students, (Masters’ Degree programme”) in Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos (1996/97 academic session); “Distinguished Professionalism Award” (2002) by University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Alumni Association; “Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century Award (2002)” by International Biological Centre, Cambridge, England; “Paul Harris Fellowship Award” by Rotary Foundation; “Outstanding male Entrepreneur of the year 1999 Award”, by Success Digest Magazine., “Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA)” from the Staton University Tampa, Florida, U. S. A.

He was also awarded the highly prestigious national honour of a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in December, 2007 by His Excellency,  Late President Umaru Musa Yar’dua.

Dr. Ajagu was honoured by his town’s people with the highly exalted title of “Odogwu Nimo” for his philanthropic works. Dr. Ausbeth N. Ajagu, MFR has been happily married to Rev. (Mrs.) Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu since 1995 and both are blessed with three children. Both were the proud winners of the Prestigious “Ideal Family Star Award” – 2005 by FAMILO.

                 
 

DR. JOHN NDANUSA AKANYA (OON) (F.AES) – FMR. D.G. Standards Organization of Nigeria

Dr. John Ndanusa Akanya was born in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi state. In 1972, after his West African School Certificate and Higher School certificate, young John proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he studied Biochemistry. After a brief period of teaching at ABU, John proceeded to the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom where he undertook his PhD programme in Analytical chemistry.

Upon his return from the UK in 1994, Ndanusa went back to lecture at ABU and rose to the rank of Senior lecturer before moving to the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 1987.

At the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Dr. Akanya lectured in Chemistry and rose to the rank of Associate Professor before he proceeded to work with the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) from 1991 to 2011 under the United Nations Technical Agreement with the Federal Government.

At UNIDO, he was soon discovered to be what he is – a very hard working man who hardly rests. He was known in SON as the workaholic despite his very tender frame, which is hardly suspected to withstand stress.

He developed so many innovations in SON, including, the construction and installation of laboratories, development of Quality Assurance Systems Training Scheme for SON and indeed, these outputs are nationally acclaimed and are a pride to Nigeria and beyond.

In 2001, Ndanusa was appointed the Acting Director-General and Chief Executive of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and was confirmed eight months later as the Director General.

During his time as the DG, SON, a number of facilities were put in place for the benefit of both his staff and Nigerians. He has also fought gallantly against the influx of sub-standard and harmful products into the Nigerian market.

Dr. Akanya has written over thirty scholarly publications in both national and international journals. He is a winner of 20 scholarly awards, merit awards and chieftaincy awards including the award of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). Dr. Akanya is a member of the board of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria.

                         
 

CHIEF MICHEAL ADE OJO (OON) (F.AES) - Chairman, Elizade Toyota Nigeria Limited

Chief Micheal Ade Ojo was born in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State. After Primary and Secondary education, he proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he studied Business Administration. On leaving the University in 1965, Chief Ojo worked with CFAO, the Federal Inland Revenue Department and the British Petroleum Nigeria Limited (now African Petroleum) Between 1967 and 1971 where he distinguished himself as the Best Sales Representative.

In fulfillment of his resolve to establish his own organization within 10years of graduation, Chief Ojo abandoned the certainty of a plum colonial job for the uncertainty of private enterprise.

The result was the establishment of Elizade Independent Agencies; a family business co-founded with his late wife Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo. This was later incorporated into Elizade Nigeria Limited, a company dealing in motor vehicle sales, spare parts and service. This business has remained an unsurpassed success in Nigeria’s automobile industry to date.

Today, the company which Chief Ojo started with just one support staff in 1971 has become a giant with several subsidiaries including ElizadeToyota Nigeria Limited, Oodua Creations Limited among others. In addition, he is the Chairman of various companies including Moorehouse Sofitel Ltd; Imperial Telecommunications Ltd and Custodian and Allied Insurance Company Ltd. He is also a director in several organizations among which is First City Monument Group Limited (FCMG), Meristem Securities Limited and Ecobank Nigeria Plc.

An ardent supporter of Education, apart from donations to various educational projects, he set up Ade Ojo Scholarship Scheme in 1991 under which more than seventy indigent students have so far benefited. This passion motivated him in embarking on his current project – Elizade Polytechnic, Ilara – Mokin

An incurable lover of his people, Chief Ade Ojo is gradually transforming his local community from a small village to an economically vibrant township through his various Community Development Projects.

In recognition of his chain of entrepreneurial successes, general contribution to various fields of human endeavours and his enormous assistance to Religious and socio-cultural organizations, Chief Ojo has won numerous National and International Awards and titles among which are: “Nnamdi Azikiwe Distinction Award for Excellence” 1987; Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Honoris Causa, University of Nigeria, 2005; Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) 2005; “Entrepreneur of the Decade” Award, Success Digest, 2005; Fellowship of the Institute of Directors (IoD), 2006.

Chief Michael Ade Ojo (OON) is a member of the board of Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria.

 

DR. SUNNY OBAZU-OJEAGBASE (F.AES) - Publisher, Success Digest Magazine

Dr. Sunny O. Ojeagbase is the Chairman/CEO Success Attitude Development Centre, Publishers of Complete Football, Complete Sports and Sports Souvenir. He is a Co-founder/Publisher/Editor, Success Digest Magazine.

Dr. Obazu-Ojeagbase is an ace sports writer and a renowned entrepreneur. He not only creates jobs, but also helps poor people discover opportunities for job creation, thereby creating walth and escaping the pangs of poverty.


Driven by his passion for success, he established Success Attitude Development Centre whose mission is to "raise and nurture entrepreneurs whose success in business is driven by the fear of God, a burning desire to care for their families and unquenchable thirst to do good to their communities".

Dr Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase also realises the society's need for him to give leadership and direction and thus is always receptive to such tasks whenever asked to.

Dr Ojeagbase has received so many local and international recognitions and awards. He is one name that rings a bell in the Nigerian Entrepreneurship landscape and is never tired of his crusade of showing people the way to success and riches.

 

MR. BEN EGBUNA (F.AES) - Fmr. D.G. FRCN

Ben Egbuna is the fmr. Director General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Earlier before his appointment as the Director General of FRCN, he worked as Director and Executive Director News, Voice of Nigeria (VON). A member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ (NUJ), Catholic Journalists Association and Association of National Institute amongst others, Ben is a name to reckon with in the Nigerian Media Industry.

His professional qualifications and major courses attended include; Senior Executive Course, National Institute For Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS); Dipl. Mass Comm, Unilag; Certificate in Management, ASCON; and On-line journalism course, Uk. He is equally a Member, National Institute and Fellow, Nigerian Guild of Editors.

Ben is a member of cultural and philanthropic associations amongst which include: Enugwu-Ukwu Development Union; Enugwu-Ukwu Forum; Patron, Catholic Youths Organisation of Nigeria and has received several awards and recognitions. Some of which are two awards from Enugwu-Ukwu Forum and a certificate of recognition from ECDU for contributions towards community peace and development as well as “professional of the year 2005” award from ECDU.

Mr. Ben Egbuna is a member of the Board of Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria.


 

ENGR. EMEKA EZEH (F.AES) ,FNSE, Fmr. President, Nigerian Society of Engineers

Engr. Emeka Ezeh born in Alor Anambra State graduated in 2nd class (Hons) Upper Division as the best graduating student in Structural Analysis, Structural Design and Foundation Engineering of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (1983). Engr. Ezeh started his professional career in 1983 in Plateau State as a Youth Corper. His primary assignment covered the supervision of Lafia Shedam roads, Wamba Wukari road and several buildings.


In 1984, he proceeded to Benin to work with Jerry Sib Associates. Engr. Ezeh, under Jerry Sib Associates did the feasibility and traffic studies for the design of Benin-Ugoneki 120 km road. He had a stint with Remtek Konsan & Partners, a firm very active in the oil and Gas downstream sector. Engr. Ezeh was responsible for the design and supervision of many service stations including design of special “dead men” Structure for the Burial of Tanks in water-logged areas.

Engr. Eze in 1986, along with one of his friends set up integral Engineers, a Consulting/Structural Engineering Firm working in the Organised Private Sector especially in the massive development programme in the Lekki axis of lagos.

An inspection and Restoration expert, Engr. Ezeh has been extensively involved in the inspection of Dams and its appurtenances especially in Kainji and Jebba. He was Head Consultant for the Top side comprehensive inspection of Kainji Dam and many others.
In November 2002, Engr. Ezeh was invited by Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, then Minister of Education to join her in the Budget Monitoring and Price Intelligence Unit (BMPIU), the Presidency, as a Sector Specialist. Ezeh has since then been in the Due Process Office in the state House.

Engr. Ezeh is the immediate past President of the Nigerian society of Engineers, the umbrella body of all Engineers in Nigeria having served in various executive positions of the organisation either as branch Chairman, Vice President, Deputy President before becoming the President in January 2006. He is presently the Director General, Due Process Bureau.

ALHAJI BASHIR BORODO (MFR) (F.AES) - FMR. President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)

Born in Kano State, Bashir Borodo had his academic training at Dandago Primary School Kano; Victory College Maadi, Cairo, Eygpt; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Dalhousie University Halifax, Canada; Queen's University; Kingston, Ontario, Canada and University De Besancon, Besancon France. His working career spans the length and breadth of the public and private sectors amongst which include: Bank of the North Limited; Teaching Assistant, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada; Ministry of External Affairs; Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC. USA,

Nigerian Sugar products Limited; Chairman, Tropical Commercial Bank Plc; Managing Director, A.N.C.C. Limited; Managing Director, Borodo & Co. Nigeria Limited, Kano.

Alhaji Borodo was President, Nigerian Economic Society, Kano Chapter and President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria; and is currently the President, Egyptian Universities Alumni Association in Nigeria.

A winner of many awards amongst which include,: Kano State Government Scholarship, Ahmadu Bello University (post graduate); Skelton-Clark Fellowship, Queen's University Kingston, Ontario, Canada as well as Member of the Federal Republic,(MFR).

OLOROGUN O'TEGA EMERHOR (OON) (F.AES) - Vice Chairman, First Inland Bank

Olorogun O'Tega Emerhor is the Vice Chairman of the Company and also Chief Executive of Standard Alliance Group. The group has varried interest in Insurance (life and non-life), Banking and Financial Consulting. He holds a first class Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, he trained and worked with the renowned international firm of Accountants, Price Waterhouse, now Price Waterhouse Cooper.

Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor has held various executive positions in a number of banks and later rose to the position of Managing Director of Crystal Bank, (Standard Trust Bank.) now UBA Plc.

Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor is also the Chairman of Vitamalt Plc, First Atlantic Bank Plc before the merger and Heroes Group of Companies amongst others. He also has interest in a number of other companies both in the manufacturing and general enterprise sectors.

Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor has attended various courses both locally and internationally, and is an alumnus of the Institute for Management Development, IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.

PROFESSOR PRINCE FAMOUS IZEDONMI (F.AES)

Professor Prince Famous Izedonmi is a Professor of Accounting and was the Director; Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, (CEDS) & Head of Department of Accounting, Covenant University, the Pioneering Dean, College of Business & Social Sciences, and the pioneering Dean School of Postgradute Studies. Prior to this, Professor Izedonmi was also the Pioneering Head of the Department of Accounting and Dean of the College of Business & Management Studies, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.

He is currently the Head of Department of Accounting, University of Benin.

Professor Izedonmi has worked with some reputable practicing Accounting firms in Nigeria including Dapo Famori and Co, Chartered Accountants, Akure, Ondo State and Samuel Asuen & Co, Chartered Accountants Benin City. He was also a Group Accountant in Freedom Development Company Limited, Edo State before joining the University of Benin.

He graduated from University of Benin with second class upper honors degree in Accounting. Professor Izedonmi holds a Master Degree in Business Administration, (MBA), MSc in Economics and PhD in Business Administration specializing in Portfolio Behaviour of Institutional Investors.

He is a Board Member, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria.

                         
 

SIR (DR.) ENGR. GODWIN OMENE (F.AES)

Former Managing Director/CEO of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) & DMD, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC). Born in Sapele, Delta State Engr. Godwin Omene holds a First Class Honours B.Sc Degree (Mining Engineering) and Post Graduate Diploma of Membership of Imperial College (DIC-Petroleum Reservoir Engineering) - Distinction

He served in the following capacities: wellsite Petroleum Engineer, Shell BP Port-Harcourt; Wellsite Petroleum Engineering Trainer, Western Division, Delta State; Operations Engineer Western Division, Warri; Senior Operations Engineer, Western Division, Warri; Production Technologist, Eastern Division; Port Harcourt, Senior Production Technologist, Lagos; Head Petroleum Engineering department, Eastern Division, Port Harcourt; Lagos Operations and Third party Affairs Manager and LNG Co-ordinator, Lagos State; Operations Manager, Western Division, Warri; Divisional Manager, Western Division, Warri; General Manager, Operations, Lagos; Deputy Managing Director and General Manager, Lagos; Managing Director/CEO, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC); Chairman/CEO, Gladson Petrogas Limited, an energy consulting company he founded after retirement.

A member of various professional bodies with wide training and other appointments too numerous to mention. Engr. Omene is a Board member, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES).

                         

Mr. PAUL UMUKORO (M.AES) - Ag. Registrar

An Administrator with over 14 years experience in Human / People Development and culture change with repeated success in leading Personal Transformation and structural change through People Development Intervention (PDI) for operational excellence with a frontline faith base Christian organization leveraging on a background of Management and Psychology. He joined the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria in 2009 as Assistant Registrar but recently promoted to the post of Acting Registrar of the Academy.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria also a full member of The Academy of Entrepreneural Studies, AES Nigeria. He is happily married and blessed with children.
